Description:
Mixing Balls 6.35mm
Set of 40 Stainless steel bearing balls in 6.35mm to mix paints. These mixing balls are coming with a special coat to make them completely paint proof which will avoid the rusting process after long periods of contact with paints that may ruin the paint colors. They are not magnetic but they will be attracted by magnets.
They are suitable either for personal or industrial uses in order to guarantee a proper mixture of all paint contents and therefore avoid having all pigments deposited in the bottom of the pot, especially after long-term storage.
This set of Stirring balls in 6.35 mm is perfect for mixing dropper paint pots such as Green Stuff World and Citadel, among others.
These ball bearings are more indicated for paint pots smaller than 40 ml
The total weight of 1 ball is 1gr.
Quality SS316L
Warning on the use of stainless steel mixing balls in paint bottles
The stainless steel balls used in our products are made of 316L steel, a high-quality alloy known for its excellent corrosion resistance, even in harsh environments such as seawater or chloride-rich conditions. As a result, they offer significantly better performance than other metallic balls on the market.
However, as with any stainless steel, the protective outer layer against oxidation can deteriorate over time due to various factors. Prolonged exposure to certain chemical agents may accelerate this process. In particular, the use with solvent-based paints tends to shorten the lifespan of the steel, whereas use with water-based paints, such as acrylics, contributes to longer durability. For this reason, we recommend replacing the balls every 6–8 years, depending on the type of paint used and storage conditions.
To ensure product longevity and prevent additional damage, do not insert more than one ball per bottle. Impact between balls may damage the surface and promote the onset of corrosion.
