The Green Stuff World Rust Oxidizer is a specially formulated liquid that activates the natural oxidation of metallic surfaces and pure metal pigments, allowing you to achieve authentic rust textures without relying on paints or powders. Chemically activating iron particles, it produces true, microscopic porosities and color variations that mimic weather-beaten steel with striking realism. Apply it to brass photo-etch or other bare metal elements to roughen the surface and dramatically improve paint adhesion, creating a rugged foundation for further finishing.
When applied to brass photoetches provides a finely textured surface that significantly improves the grip of paints and weathering products. When treated with the rust oxidizer, the slight corrosion creates microscopic irregularities, allowing paints to adhere more effectively and evenly. This enhances durability and ensures a more realistic, long-lasting finish on your models and miniatures.
